2015 saw flame haired songstress Sophie Rogers release her debut album, Two Sides, following a Sold Out Headline Scottish tour & Glasgow launch show. Since then Sophie has been far & wide across UK venues playing live shows, making TV appearances & playing radio sessions. Summer of 2015 saw Sophie complete a successful tour of NYC & Toronto City, playing key venues like Rockwood Music Hall. Her sound is Celtic, folk, lyrical with a strong soulful voice & mainstream appeal. Often described as pure Caledonia soul. 2016 started with a bang & several appearances at Celtic Connections festival, Sophie is now back in the studio writing & getting ready to record new material!
Rebecca Herd is a singer-songwriter, currently studying Music Performance at the Academy of Music & Sound. She has been writing & performing original compositions since the age of 13, supporting Del Amitri frontman Justin Currie, Glasgow band Brownbear & Ayrshire-based singer-songwriter Little Fire. She has also performed at local festivals including Burns An’ A’ That, Prestfest & Live @ Troon. In 2015 she worked with Edinburgh-based theatre company Urban Fox Theatre, writing an original soundtrack for their play “Heartlands” which was featured throughout the Edinburgh Fringe Festival & had a run of shows in London.
“Briefly looking back at last year, in July I played just outside of London at a great event and made my first appearance in Denmark in early October as well as playing all my local gigs. I spent a good part of the year and the beginning of 2016 working with up-and-coming Ayrshire artist Chloé Marie. Together we wrote 5 songs that can be found on her debut EP, Changing, which was released just ahead of her headline slot at King Tut’s, Glasgow this January 12th!!”
“I have started work in the studio recording some new tracks and my next single, The City at Night, is going to be released on iTunes very soon. I also have the opportunity to work with some great artists on an exciting new project over the coming months. I’ll give you more details on it when I have them, but what I can say is that these are exciting times for me.”
